why google allows to host videos (YouTube) and photos (google photos) unlimited for free to anyone? How they make money on this?

It’s a numbers game. They sell SO MANY ad spots that it allows them some leeway. Videos are also compressed to reduce space and stored and backed up differently. They also delete inactive content or crack down on people proving all their videos.
