As adults, we all tend to maintain our personal space. Kids tend to get much closer to each other (and us!) which is why when an adult gets lice, it’s usually from a child in their care, and not from another adult. We also tend to act more quickly once we know we’ve got lice, whereas kids don’t necessarily think to tell us their head is itching straight away and might interact with / infect a lot of other kids before we notice.
Adults are usually okay with taking regular showers and keeping their homes somewhat clean, some kids don’t want to and have to be forced to bathe or even pick up their dirty laundry. Adults are more aware of bugs are crawling around in their hair, where a kid will itch their head and get distracted with something else. Kids will also roll around on the carpet in large groups, whereas adults rarely due.
