why is it so easy for our tounge to find something stuck in our teeth but not when we try to pick it out with our fingers?

It has to do with both the density of touch receptors which is highest in the fingertips and tongue, but also the thickness of overlying epithelium. The skin on the fingers is relatively thick and hard compared to the mucosa of the tongue.
