why is it that the bigger your FOV is in a game, the faster it feels like you’re moving?

When your FOV is high you’re seeing a lot more than when your FOV is low, but still moving at the same speed. Since you’re able to see more, it kinda feels like you’re covering more distance. Since speed and distance are relative is makes it seem like you’re moving faster.
