Why is it that when our 2 hands do 2 different tasks, they sometimes get mixed up and do the opposite task?

this is kind of deep. Human beings can’t multi-task. So, you can’t do two things at the same time. Every “two or more actions at the same time”.actually is “micro processing” done by your brain very quickly. Something like:

* step 1 – move your right hand horizontally

* step 2 – move your left hand vertically

But as you do this almost at the same time, you’ll get confused and switch “instructions”. With tons of training you can conditioning your brain to exert the amount of instructions needed at the (almost) same time to be executed at the right order.

It’s almost like counting from 1000 to 0, backwards. You’ll mix some numbers orders. The reason is that you need to think and then speak, two actions that doesn’t occour at the same order and, with tons of repetition, will be mixed between all the tasks that need to be done.

With that said, I’m not a doctor nor do I have any knowledge in this area. This is my educated guess with all that I’ve read and see theought the years. I might (and probably am) very wrong about this.
