Being in one position for a prolonged period of time is quite a challenge for your body. Your blood is what’s making you function, it delivers your body’s fuel to many places among many other things.
When you don’t move much in a sitting position parts of your body are under constant pressure. So, places where your blood should flow freely do not allow that, and over time that causes minor damage.
One thing that can form that’s especially harmful is a blood clot. It’s when because of the blood passage damage blood sticks to the walls and prevents your blood from passing, that causes further tissue damage because some of it doesn’t get necessary components blood delivers.
