Imagine living in a time, when getting married young and having kids fast was required and divorce was very much frowned upon.
A lot of people ended up in relationships they didn’t enjoy later on.
That’s where the many stereotypes of man staying late at work, bars,… Anywhere but going home came from.
Many of them didn’t get along well with their wife and preferred to stay away from home as much as possible.
