Why is the US dollar $ increasing in value across Asian countries?

Very generally speaking, the US increased interest rates on US $ bonds a few years ago to stem inflation. This makes interest returns on US$ assets higher which tends to increase the value of the USD. Also, in times of uncertainty, high inflation, wars, pandemics etc investors tend to pull their investments into “safer” assets and generally speaking, US assets especially Treasury bills/bonds are one of the safest.
