Because it’s the most neutral Color, it doesn’t connect emotions or energy. It’s just white.

Because energy costs are so high and white that you see best with is being reflected off the wall where as all the other colors are being absorbed.

Sheetrock is manufactured from gypsum, which is white. Prior to sheet rock, walls were the default color of whatever rock, wood, or whatever else they were made of.

White paint is cheaper than other paints. Also it makes a room look bigger than darker shades.

Don’t think of it as white but blank. There is no colour there. That’s why it’s the default. You can put any colour over the top without the background changing it.

Before artificial light whitewashing a room made it brighter inside due to light reflecting. Also you can see things such as dirt giving you the feeling of a clean and pure environment.
