It makes oxygen and stores it into the muscle and blood when you exercise, and of course it doesn’t beat as much, just a couple of minutes or maybe an hour, most likely not at a time. With stress, it just beats harder with no purpose, thickens the blood, increases blood pressure and causes damage overall throughout the body, stress sucks

Heart rate increase is not “good” either way. Increasing your heart rate is simply a side effect of exercise, it is not the goal.

The difference is that exercising triggers your entire cardiovascular system to adapt to the load and upgrade itself, so your heart works less hard the rest of the time.

So with exercise you pay a little in the high heart rate toll during your hour of exercise but get a large return of lower heart rate the rest of the time, a net positive (in heart health).

With stress/caffeine you pay the heart rate toll but are getting no cardiovascular benefits in return, a net negative.

Exercise improves our entire heart/lung/circulatory/muscle systems…good.

Caffeine just makes your heart jackhammer…not as good.
