Optical illusion from seeing the light rays after they go through more sir and water vapour. Our most obstructed view of the sun is when it is farthest away from us…sunset and sunrise.., the water content in the air does tge rest.. creates the colour. In space? The sun looks like a little speck….just like tge rest of the stars becsuse there is no air for it to diffuse in.
