there is noise being made by the band. the ASL interpreter is letting the deaf audience know there is a guitar solo happening
The subtitles tell you what you can’t hear. I have not seen this broadcast, but one assumes music or guitar music is playing.
Maybe not all deaf people were deaf at birth. Maybe, and I’m going out on a limb here, maybe some people went deaf later on in life and know what an electric guitar sounds like.
