Lenses are purpose-built for the intended viewing distance. A telescope lens or set of lens are made to see far away. The ones on a microscope are meant to see very close. Same reason why you can’t use a microscope as a telescope.

You can change the focus on a camera. If the camera is focussed at a near distance, near things will appear clearly, far things will appear blurred. Focus at a far distance and far things will appear clearly, near things blurred. Telescope can only focus on very far things. Microscopes can only focus on very near things. They are good at what they do because the are designed to be able to focus well at those extremes, unlike a camera which is generally designed to focus in a range more similar to the human eye.
