Wow there is a lot of misinformation in this thread. Actually, proportionally, women grow muscle at the same rate as men (about 0.1-0.2% of starting muscle mass per session). Testosterone’s biggest effect (within normal ranges) appears to be on untrained muscle mass. Women start with lower test, therefore start with lower muscle mass, therefore absolute growth is slower, and their max is lower. Once you reach an adult, you have a given number of muscle fibres, you can enlarge those fibres, but you can’t increase the number of fibres. Which ultimately determines your peak. Once special supplements enter the mix, all bets are off. We don’t really know why there’s such a huge variance in responses to steroids. Ultimately, hormone interactions are extremely complicated and not entirely understood. For example, estrogen is extremely hypertrophic. Men with low estrogen levels will see lower gains, but you still hear bros talk nonsense about phytoestrogens in soy etc. In short, I wouldn’t recommend reddit as a place to research this topic.
