Why won’t the two different skin tones blend on my digital art app?

I do shading both in shade/highlight layers and in the base skin layer. Often times when I’m doing paler skin tones and airbrush the darker tones in, when I go to blend it smooth, it makes a strange area of pigment where one area of it is a dingy yellow color and the other is weirdly pink. I’m not sure why it does this, can anyone explain?

Frankly, I think whatever package you’re using is broken–I checked the colour values at top left, bottom right and on the odd pink splodge, and the odd pink splodge isn’t anywhere close to being halfway between the other two whether I look at RGB values or HSL. So, unless it’s using some other colour space to make that transition, there’s no good reason for that colour to be there.
