It is theoretically possible that it could happen if they were in a low oxygen environment, but it is not likely to happen in most situations since they breathe fairly well through their lungs and they don’t use oxygen at an extremely fast rate.

Not in a way that would be familiar to us. Snails don’t have lungs. They have super low metabolisms. So I’m sure they get really tired after a short travel all the time
