Does gravity affect the direction in which a plant grows? If so, how?

Yes it’s called geotropism. It is one of the factors that effects plant growth along with phototropism. Geotropism means the roots will grow in the direction of gravity. Phototropism means leaves and shoots will grow towards the sun.
