Eli5: how do fig wasps inherent their way of mating?

Maybe all wildlife creatures have specific methods to reproduce or nest building etc. How do the new generations do the same thing exactly like their ancestors if they never seen them doing it?

Male fig wasps are born without wings. When they are born they immediately seek out female wasps inside the fig to which they are born. The female wasps fly off, already impregnated, seeking out new figs to lay their eggs inside.
