ELi5: What are those floating bacteria like things that appear in the human eye?

My optometrist JUST told me this the other day. He said when you’ve been using your eyes for an extended period of time, the fluid in your eyes start to clump. So if you ever ‘see’ little hazy organisms floating around, that’s typically what that is. I think that is what you’re referring to.
