eli5 why are scars lumpy

I have a couple of new scars and i’m wondering why do they go all like lumpy like when you run your fingers over your skin it’s like a long lump why is this?

Different points along the wound heal at different rates. Have more blood flow? Heals faster. Have a mild infection? Body needs to prioritize dealing with it instead of healing. Have a bad infection? Any healing is negated or reversed by that infection. Now think of that on a microscopic level. Lumps.

Human have a sort of glue that fills gaps. When exposed to air,  these cells latch on and harden. They don’t know what the original blueprint entails because they’re just floating about in the bloodstream. When they get to a hole, they don’t know where the original plan was or what they should look like. 

It’s actually a human superpower. Other animals just die.
