Cellular respiration produces very little water, compared to the amounts that we consume. The water produced in respiration is going to be a fraction of the volume of the food that you consumed to fuel that respiration.

If I exercise enough to burn off a whole burger, then I will have very roughly a burger’s size in water. That’s just not a whole lot of water. Maybe a few good sips’ worth.
