ELIF: how does the marangoni effect work?

Saw a post on r/chemicalreactiongifs and this perked my curiosity, anyone know? (Also is surface tension a thing in zero gravity?) should I make a whole another post about surface tension too?

In: Chemistry

Liquids with higher surface tension will suck liquids with low surface tension into them – that’s the best I can do in that respect. As to surface tension in 0g, it is actually far more pronounced since it no longer has to compete with gravity. If left alone in 0g, water will form big spheres due to surface tension.
