How come music sounds different when you listen to it driving?

I don’t know how to explain it but I just feel like some types of songs aren’t as pleasant to hear as they are out of a car. Could it be because of waves ? And How would that be explained?

Thank you I hope my question is clear

Cars give out lots of different sounds that can mask certain frequencies in a song. This is partly the reason why some songs have radio versions.

Try listening to a song right next to a vacuum cleaner and you’ll experience a very similar phenomenon.
