How do animals perceive the continuity of a single being? Do they know that my right hand and my left hand are the same being? What about a group of people, do animals see them as a single thing?

Well, animals are not stupid. Yes, they recognize it as one being. It would be evolutionarily disadvantageous to not recognize this, so they do.
