Incendiary ammunition uses an encapsulated metal or chemical, like magnesium, or an explosive charge that burns either from ignition of a fuse ( air explosion incendiary bombs or cluster bombs), from the ignition of propellant (tracer round or dragon’s breath), or the use of a shaped charge (HEAT rounds or anti personnel /flak shell).
