Basically it’s doing something unsettling or creepy to lower the morale of the opposition. Like during the Vietnam war the US played creepy noises really loudly to make the superstitious vietnamese scared.

Using techniques to manipulate or mislead others. One is such as gas lighting, where someone undermines another’s confidence in themselves by questioning their self integrity.

It depends on the type of psychological warfare, it can be a simple as making noise all night meaning the other side is sleep deprived so well below par, it can be making them think that you have overwhelming firepower so that when you attack rather than standing there waiting to die they run away to save themselves from what they believe to be certain death.

When the delivery of information is designed to have the recipient come to a predetermined conclusion.

You can see attempts at this if you watch different news channels presentations of the same subject.

The most horrible aspect of psychological warfare is it’s actual usage of warfare upon civilians with intent to break the will of the people into submission and destabilization of an enemy country. WW2 firebombing of Dresden is an example.
