They earn less money per unit, but more people buy them. Expensive devices like iPhones or high-end Samsungs etc. are not affordable to the vast majority of the world population. Americans wouldn’t buy iPhones either if they cost $4000. It is brands like Huawei, Xiaomi and others in their price ranges that lead the way in less affluent areas.
