Why do fruits exist? So that animals eat them, run some distance, and poop out the seeds in a pile of very nice fertilizer for the seeds to use as they develop into a new plant.

Why do fruits have colours? To attract said animals. It’s advertising.

*Some* fruit has a bright color, to attract animals to eat it, spreading the plant’s seeds.

Some fruit does *not* have a distinctive color. You know those little “helicopters” you find on maple trees? Those are also fruit! But those trees *don’t* want animals to eat their seeds, because those seeds are too fragile and would be damaged. Instead, the fruit is the same color as the leaves, so that it can break off and flutter away on its own, hence the “helicopter” shape.
