how some plants can survive with little to no direct sunlight

Basically the title. I’ve got some bushes in front of my house that are in the shade almost 100% of the time. How do they survive? Can they still harvest the sun’s energy from indirect light reflected off nearby objects?

All plants use photosynthesis to transform light into energy. Most plants do not require direct sunlight for photosynthesis, only indirect light
