how some plants can survive with little to no direct sunlight

Basically the title. I’ve got some bushes in front of my house that are in the shade almost 100% of the time. How do they survive? Can they still harvest the sun’s energy from indirect light reflected off nearby objects?

Yes, reflected light works just fine. However, you need to be selective, many plants need 6+ hours of direct sunlight every day. If your plants are fine, they’re getting by on reflected light and little to no sunlight.
