If you made a pile of bacteria/viruses big enough to be seen by the human eye, what would it be like?

What would it look like in terms of color and texture? Also, how would it feel to the touch? Powdery, spongy, almost liquid? What would it smell like? (I know you can smell gas released by bacteria, but the bacteria itself?) Would any of those change depending on the exact species?

I know bacteria and viruses already have visible effects on a macro scale but what I’m seeing always seems to be another material affected by them (skin in the case of warts for example) and not them directly.

You can search up bacterial colonies. It is basically just growing loads of bacteria, and you can see it with your eyes
