no fog cloth for glasses.

I walked past an optician that had a sign outside for anti fog glasses cloths I bought one and it works but i want to know how. I understand how sprays work as they have a something in them that stops the water vapour condensing but how does what feels like a normal microfiber cloth do the same. Not sure if it would be outside or chemistry so i put other as the tag.

This comment will probably be removed as it’s not necessarily a top level answer. But did the cloth come with any product packaging we could look into? Even just a brand.

Im inclined to suggest though that it may be impregnated with some or other substance.
