Putting my hand NEAR the window makes it all misty.

Putting my bare hand near the window, not touching it, makes it go all misty, why is this. It’s only at the top of the window, the window is closed, and it’s not cold in here. I’ve never seen this before and it’s. a bit creepy.
There’s a video linked below to help.

Moisture is evaporating off your hand, from sweat. This increases the humidity of the air immediately next to the window until the window is colder than the dew point, causing the moisture to condense.

I don’t see a video, so I can’t tell you why it’s only condensing at the top of the window, it could be that that part of the window is in the shade, or an air conditioning vent is blowing on that part of it to make that part of the window colder.

Your hand is hot, and so is the air around it. Hot air can carry more water than cold air. Your hand is providing water to the hot air around it. When you go near the cold glass, the air can no longer hold that much water so the water falls out of the air becoming condensation.

You’re constantly sweating. Even if your not hot or can’t tell, it’s happening. The sweat evaporates instantly.

That evaporated sweat becomes water vapor in the air.

The glass is much cooler than your body and the air around your body. The water vapor in the air cools down and condenses on the glass, which you see as fog.
