So I know the difference between Venom and Poison, and I’ve seen a video that shows how a snakes venom affects blood. But how does Poison affect people if it has to go through your digestive system first?

Chemicals get absorbed from your digestive track into your bloodstream. It’s the oral reason medicine works.

Anyone who has ever had an edible before will also know that it takes longer for whatever is in your digestive tract to be absorbed into the bloodstream compared to something like venom which is a direct injection.
