When a word is on the tip of your tongue, do you actually remember the word but can’t pull it from your memory or is it just a weird phenomenon?

Alternatively, tip of the tongue is also known as presque vu.
In some instances, your brain tries to help you remember things by blocking out what it perceives to be miscellaneous information. Unfortunately, big human brain do dumb monkey brain and blocks what we’re trying to remember. It will keep doing this until we see something to trigger recall, or we stop trying, and it stops cockblocking us.
This is what leads to those AH HA/epiphany moments.
