When we apply moisturizing cream to our dry/cracked hands, it sort of hurts a little, as if someone is stinging needles. Why is that?

I’m not sure what phenomenon you are experiencing, but it absolutely should not hurt to apply moisturizer to your skin. Personally I get a relieving sensation when I use moisturizer!
