Why are exhaust tones/notes different in each vehicle?

I’m asking about motorcycles specifically but it goes for all vehicles. Why/How in a v-twin engine if CC’s are very close and the same manufacturer exhaust is installed on each bike the sound is different? Is this done with timing or are there other internal parts that cause this?

Length, diameter, turns, catalytic converters, mufflers, cylinders, RPMs, displacement. There are many many things that make them sound difference. A good example is a little gas powered RC car is very high pitched because it has high RPMs, small volume, and short exhaust where as a new F150 eco boost you probably can barely hear because it’s been muffled and the gas coming from the engine has more time and devices to “become quiet”.
