What do you mean with pigment and light?

Pigments form colors by reflecting the color of light they make, absorbing all the other colors. This means if you mix all the primary colors of pigment you get black but if you mix all the primary colors of light you get white.

Many people were taught their primary colors incorrectly and never learned better. It is RGB for light and CMY for pigments.

Light is additive. You start with black (the absence of light) and the more you have the more you approach white (technically all you need is red green blue)

Pigment is subtractive. You start with white (paper) and the more colors you add the more you approach black. The paint removes light.
