Because everything we perceive is really a construct of our mind. We don’t perceive reality in the first place, we interpret it from various sensations. Our brain is incredible good at imagining things since it literally does this all day long. So, your initial perception of Morgan Freeman was based off the signals your brain got from your eyes, ears, etc. Now that it has that image, it doesn’t actually need real input to simulate it in your head.

TL;DR: Your brain always interprets reality and can fake it easily.
