I get it’s the noise they make, but is there a reason why they do it? Are they calling to their mate, are they calling to be feed, or are they just screaming for no apparent reason?

All birds, particularly males, go nuts with birdsong in the morning. Our rooster starts just before the sun crests the horizon. No sleeping in here!
