circadian rhythm is a real biological process that works on the clock. your body gets used to your pattern of sleep. that’s why doctors suggest changing your sleep schedule by 15 minutes at a time, it’s small enough for the body to adapt to on a day by day basis. if you greatly exaggerate your sleep schedule you’ll wake up at the wrong point in your sleep cycle (NREM-REM) and feel funky for a few hours. and not the fun type of funky
