why do you never forget out to ride a bike?

It’s a skill just like any other skill that requires practice. If you don’t ride a bike for several years, and then you attempt to ride one you WILL be wobbly until your muscle memory comes back.

You DO forget how to ride a bike just like how you forget how to do anything after not doing it for a long period of time.

Human animals are basically pre-programed to learn how to walk upright. The balancing and peddling skills involved in riding a bike aren’t really all that different compared to walking, so the new skill (biking) can piggyback on all the walking/running skills we’ve already developed and our brain only has to remember a few “tweaks for how biking is different from walking/running” instead of having to remember every single detail anew.
