Human animals are basically pre-programed to learn how to walk upright. The balancing and peddling skills involved in riding a bike aren’t really all that different compared to walking, so the new skill (biking) can piggyback on all the walking/running skills we’ve already developed and our brain only has to remember a few “tweaks for how biking is different from walking/running” instead of having to remember every single detail anew.
