What (regarding GCSE physics) is Flemming’s left hand rule?

In: Physics

Flemming left hand rule is pretty simple… Your thumb points in the direction of which the force is applied, your pointer/forefinger points in the direction of the magnetic field, and your middle finger points in the direction of the current. It’s a visual mnemonic.

I’m an electrical engineer and I use the left handed rules more than I would like to admit.
