On top of the weather and maximizing productivity reasons, construction sites working in urban or residential areas have to abide by certain city curfews depending on their city permit ordinances. Traffic control must be cleared up before a certain time, usually before afternoon/evening traffic. Noise ordinances are also set in place to avoid local disruption once most of the public is back home from the workday.
