Why aren’t car-like 3 point seatbelts used in planes?

1.The ones they use now allow for quicker egress in case of an emergency. 2. Three points would have to be retractable or they would just be loose when a passenger is not using them making them pricier and high maintenance. 3 Three points take longer to secure in case of an emergency 4. The FAA would have to approve a change like this and it would cost the airlines money to convert every seat on every plane. (Airlines _hate_ spending money) TLDR If it ain’t broke don’t pay to have it replaced.
