Animals can get sick from eating raw meat. We just don’t care as much, because they’re off doing their own thing in the wild and we don’t notice it. Same as how they can get sick drinking unfiltered water. It’s just that we care way more about human lives, so even if the odds of getting sick are very very low, we don’t want any humans to suffer unnecessarily.

We can actually consume raw meats unless they are contaminated with things like salmonella, actually. You can kill any red meat and eat it right away, and just hope it didn’t have parasites.

You can absolutely consume raw meat in most any quantity you like. Unless it’s infested with parasites or isn’t fresh you will run into no issues whatsoever.

Comparisons to “animals” in general aren’t going to get you anywhere since all creatures on this planet have a unique diet and equally unique digestive system.

Animals and people adapt to their environment. Human digestive systems are much more picky than animals.

Anytime you make a major change to your diet you will have some sort of discomfort as your body adapts.

You could switch to raw meats, but it would take a while to adapt.

This reminds me of the Paleo diet. Eat only what cavemen are. In reality if we are only what cavemen are, and not the modern versions of that, we would get sick until our bodies adapted.

Because we eat meat from an environment where diseases breed and spread far more easily than in nature.

Additionally, we have weakened our immune systems because we have taken such great pains to minimize exposure to bacteria and viruses. This is a downside of “too much cleanliness.”
